Dr. Anthony V. Mack is a native of Leesburg, Florida. After graduating from Leesburg High School, he attended the University of North Florida (UNF) where he obtained an Associate of Arts degree in General Education and a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration. While at UNF, he quickly distinguished himself as a leader on campus. Most notably, he served one term as a Senator and three terms as the Director of Governmental Affairs for Student Government. In this role, he traveled the state lobbying for the interests of the 15,000+ students at UNF and the hundreds of thousands of students in Florida's State University System. 

 

After graduating from UNF, Dr. Mack returned to his hometown and began his career as an educator. He was a highly-effective Social Studies teacher, Social Studies Department Chair, and facilitator for school-based and district-wide professional development. In his first year of teaching, he was recognized as the Rookie Teacher of the Year and a finalist for District Rookie Teacher of the Year. Subsequently, he was recognized as District Social Studies Teacher of the Year and inducted into the Academy of Teachers. In 2016, he graduated from Saint Leo University with a Master's degree in Education (Reading). Afterwards, he transitioned into school leadership as the Literacy Coach. In this role, he supported his school's English, Reading, and Social Studies departments, as well as advanced literacy-related activities school-wide. He also authored curriculum maps used district-wide and continued to facilitate school-based and district-wide professional development.

 

In 2022, Dr. Mack completed his doctoral studies and received his Doctorate degree in Strategic Leadership with High Distinction from Liberty University. His research topic was Volunteer Management by Nonprofit Organizational Leaders. His study examined the impact that volunteer management practices by nonprofit organizational leaders have on volunteer engagement, volunteer retention, and organizational growth and productivity. He is passionate about teaching, leadership development, and strategic organizational planning.

 

Dr. Mack continues to be an educator, strategist, and strategic organizational leader. He also serves as the Executive Administrator of his local church and the Director of Christian Education for the diocese. In his personal time, he enjoys golfing, reading,  traveling, and watching college football.
